Why these 4,217, and not 40,000

How a vendor earns their spot in the directory.

Every listing goes through a four-step editorial review run by our team of 12 — eight of whom planned their own non-traditional weddings. It's how we keep the network curated, not scraped.

  1. 01

    Application & portfolio audit

Vendors apply with three real weddings (not styled shoots), a price sheet, and references from at least two couples. Incomplete applications don't move forward — we review every submission personally.

  2. 02

    Editorial review, within 14 days

An assigned editor — typically a former bridal-magazine writer — visits the portfolio, interviews the vendor, and scores the listing against our aesthetic-fit and ethics rubric. Average turnaround: 9 days.

  3. 03

    Reference check & contract sample

We speak to two past couples and review the vendor's contract for hidden fees, exclusivity clauses, or cancellation terms that punish couples. Anything questionable gets flagged publicly on the listing.

  4. 04

    Ongoing quality audits

Listings are re-reviewed every 12 months and after any couple complaint. Average response time, review trend, and enquiry-to-booking rate all feed a public quality score visible on every profile.
